The PDFOhlala team is very proud to announce the release of its major new update. Among the many performance improvements, one feature in particular was highly requested by our community: Dark Mode.
Why did we develop Dark Mode?
Reading and processing PDF files often involves spending long hours in front of a screen. The white light emitted by traditional interfaces (Light Mode) is a known source of eye strain, especially at the end of the day or in poorly lit environments.
A native and intelligent integration
Rather than simply applying pure black colors abruptly, our user interface (UI) team worked on a sophisticated color palette:
- Deep slate tones: The backgrounds use a very dark grey-blue blend (Slate) to reduce the aggressive contrast between pure black and white text.
- Preservation of accentuation: Our vibrant buttons and icons (indigo, emerald, purple) have been subtly readjusted to "pop" on screen without dazzling you.
- System synchronization: The application now automatically detects your operating system preferences. If your Mac or PC is already in Dark Mode, PDFOhlala will adapt like magic!
Guaranteed persistence everywhere
Thanks to localStorage technology, your choice is memorized. Whether you switch to the Merge tool, the Conversion tool, or navigate on this blog, your favorite theme remains activated without any flickering or unwanted reloading.
The OKI NEXT TECH commitment
This visual update is in line with our company's commitment: to provide not only the most efficient PDF algorithms, but also the most premium and pleasant user experience on the market.
